The magnetic properties of oriented silicon steel are strongly directional, with the lowest iron loss and the highest magnetic permeability in the rolling direction and high magnetic inductance in a certain magnetizing field. The silicon content of oriented silicon steel is about 3%, and requires that the oxide inclusion content in the steel is low, and must contain a certain inhibitor (MnS, A1N), because it is used for transformer core manufacturing, so it is also called cold-rolled transformer steel.
