Hot dip galvanized wire is processed from high-quality low-carbon steel wire rods, and is produced through processes such as drawing and forming, acid washing and rust removal, high-temperature annealing, hot-dip galvanizing, and cooling. Hot dip galvanized wire has good toughness and elasticity.
Steel grade G10060 (SAE 1006) - low carbon material from which wire rod and round wire are produced in riots or cut rods. Standard: ASTM A510M. Standard specification for general requirements for carbon steel wire rod and round wire.
Steel grade G10080 (SAE 1008) - low carbon material from which wire rod and round wire are produced in riots or cut rods. Standard: ASTM A510M. Standard specification for general requirements for carbon steel wire rod and round wire.
AISI 1018, most often called 1018 steel, stands out as a high-manganese carbon alloy celebrated for its exceptional machinability. Its acceptance of welds yields uniform, hard cases, making it a preferred choice for carburized parts.
A510/A510M Standard Specification for General Requirements for Wire Rods and Coarse Round Wire, Carbon Steel, and Alloy Steel.
Spring steel wire is known for its high yield strength and excellent elasticity, making it ideal for applications that require resilience and flexibility. It is typically made from high-carbon steel or alloy steel, which gives it its unique properties.
Cold Forming is the common term for taking coils of steel wire or cylindrical steel rods and pressing them into a shape with mechanical force (de-forming the material). The manufacturing of cold-formed steel products occurs at room temperature using mechanical pressure known as cold heading and thread rolling.
European standard grades for steel products follow a set naming structure. Each grade starts with a single letter, and is followed by a number. The letter relates to the application and the number relates to the yield strength of the steel. Steel used for reinforcing concrete has the application letter B, and the number 500, which represents a minimum yield strength of 500MPa. The grades for reinforcement steel then have a final letter A, B or C.
BS 4449: 2005 uses the term 'bar' for ribbed reinforcing steel. The terms 'rod' and 'wire' should be restricted to describe reinforcing steel in coil, or wire in reinforced concrete products.
A615 steel rebar has a rough, blue-grey finish with raised ribs throughout the bar. Designed for use in concrete reinforcement, rebar increases the tensile strength of concrete structures. ASTM A615 is the standard specification for deformed and plain carbon steel bars for concrete reinforcement.
HRB400/HRB400E Rebar Steel Wire Rod
HRB400, As a model of hot-rolled ribbed steel bars. HRB "is the identification of steel bars used in concrete, while" 400 "indicates a tensile strength of 400MPa, which is the maximum stress that the steel bars can withstand under tension.
HRB500/HRB500E Rebar Steel Wire Rod
500 indicates that the tensile strength of steel bars is 500 megapascals (MPa). Tensile strength is an indicator of the ability of steel bars to resist tensile forces. The tensile strength of HRB500 belongs to the category of high-strength steel bars and is suitable for engineering projects that require high strength.
